Caring for Your Hat
A well-built hat will outlast a decade of seasons — if you treat it right. The rules are few and easy.
Handle by the Brim
Pick the hat up by the brim, front and back — never by pinching the crown. Pinching wears a permanent dent where you do not want one.
Store It Right
Rest the hat upside down on its crown, or on a hook or rack that holds it by the brim. Never leave it sitting on the brim for long stretches; the weight flattens the curl.
Keep It Dry — Slowly
If your hat gets wet, set it on a towel, upside down, away from direct heat. Heat shrinks and warps. Let it dry on its own time.
Dust and Brush
Brush felt counter-clockwise with a soft brush to lift dust. For straw, a damp cloth wiped gently along the weave is enough.
Free Re-Shaping for Life
Every hat we build comes with free re-shaping for life. If your crease softens or your brim loses its line, send it home and we will set it right.
